Mondel is a boutique studio built on twenty-five years of image-making, across film sets, darkrooms, boardrooms, and galleries. We don't separate the artistic from the technical. We never have.

Based in Sydney. Working across Australia and internationally for clients who understand that the most enduring work is made with care and intention.

Video
Production

Every project starts with a conversation about what actually needs to be said. Concept through post, handled in full.

Photography

Analogue, large-format, and high-end digital. Architectural, portrait, editorial, fine-art. The process is shaped around the image, not the other way around.

Archival
Film Scan

Raw master files made slowly and carefully, using a fluid-mount wet scanning workflow for long-term archiving or extra-large prints.

Workshops &
Tuition

Photography and darkroom practice, taught one-on-one by someone who has been doing it for over two decades. We take very few students at a time.

Nick

Founder & Creative Director

Nick has been making images since the late 1990s. Short films for international festivals, a BA in Photography, and from the beginning an instinct that the artistic and technical belonged together.

Sydney brought scale. He ran over 300 productions a year for some of Australia's most significant organisations, completed a postgraduate degree in Studio Arts, and kept the analogue and darkroom work going through all of it. Music videos, documentary, a feature film shot in Bondi as Director of Photography.

Mondel is the studio that came out of that. Small, deliberate, built around people who think the best work takes time.
